Akufo-Addo: Bono East to get a public university
The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has revealed that a public university will soon be established in the Bono East Region.
He said the university will focus on science and technology related courses to help facilitate health delivery and agriculture production.
Akufo-Addo was speaking on Monday (9 August) at Nkoranza when he paid a courtesy call on the Nkoranza Traditional Council as part of his working visit to the region.
President Akufo-Addo said the Bono East Regional Minister, Kwasi Adu-Gyan, is working on accreditation for the yet-to-be established university.
“The regional minister, Kwasi Adu Gyan has already engaged me on the move and I can assure you that, plans are advanced to meet the National Accreditation Board and the National Tertiary Commission on the way forward. I believe this will materialise before the end of my current tenure,” he said.
