Daniel Mark PETERS Obituary Surprise
Daniel Mark Peters, also known as Kwesi Bruni, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021, 7:26 pm at Banner Del Webb hospital in Sun City West, Arizona.
Dan drove himself to the hospital on August 17th just to get a quick COVID test. When seen by the nurses and doctors, he was told that he was having a major heart attack. On Saturday at 5:45 pm , Renae, Angie and Melody were able to say goodbye and released him to go to heaven. He died quietly and peacefully. The reviewal service will be held for family and out of town guests only on Thursday, September 2nd, from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at Surprise Funeral Care, 16063 W. Bell Rd., Surprise, AZ 85374.
Funeral visitation will be at Church on the Green, Friday, September 3rd at 1:00 pm with the funeral following at 2:00 pm. The address is 19051 N. RH Johnson Blvd., Sun City West, AZ 85375. Immediately after the service a reception will be provided by Church on the Green.
Daniel Mark Peters was born in St. Paul Minnesota on February 25, 1951. He graduated from Minnehaha Academy in 1969 and continued on to receive his Bachelors’ Degree from North Central University in Minneapolis in 1973. He then received his Masters’ of Divinity degree from Melodyland University in Anaheim, California in 1975.
Dan Peters was married to Renae Peters on June 2nd, 1973 in Strathcona Minnesota. They were married 48 years.
Dan was a entrepreneur, business man, media broadcaster and minister wrapped up in one. Dan and Renae pastored in Tulsa, OK., Santa Ana, CA., and North St. Paul, MN. In 1996, Dan traveled to Ghana, Africa and found his true calling. To date, He has built 7 radio stations in Ghana, Uganda and South Sudan spreading the gospel.
Dan is survived by his wife Renae Genieve Gjovik Peters, his two daughters Angela Pfaff and Melody Peters, his 5 biological grandchildren (Jacob, Sofia, Bella, Levi and Josef), his brothers Steve and Jim Peters, his extended family that includes the Peter’s, Dahoud’s, Selness’s, Warwick’s, Harding’s, Worre’s, and Gjovik’s, and his many adopted children and grandchildren around the world.
We take great comfort in knowing that Dan Peters is in heaven with his parents LeRoy and Josephine Peters, his sister Gloria Jean, his brother Leroy Peters Jr., and his 2 grandsons, Elliot and Benaiah, whom he had yet to meet.
There will be a memorial service for Dan Peters on at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Redeeming Love Church in White Bear Lake in Minnesota.
