Duffuor discontinues court case against 13 May NDC primaries

A flagbearer hopeful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Kwabena Duffour has discontinued his injunction application against the party’s Saturday (13 May) presidential and parliamentary primaries.

Lawyers for Dr Duffuor told the court on Friday (12 May) that they have had instructions from the plaintiff that his team (Dr Duffuor’s team) has had discussions with officials of the party and has decided to discontinue the action.

Dr Duffuor’s campaign team had alleged that it has not been furnished with an accurate list of persons who are supposed to participate in the 13 May presidential and parliamentary polls.

He, therefore, wanted the court to put the elections on hold and have the party engage candidates on a road map toward drawing up an accurate list of voters.
